Fergal Smith is the Managing Market Strategist, Canada for Action Economics, LLC. Previously he was Managing Currency Analyst, Asia-Pacific for MMS International, where he was responsible for fundamental foreign exchange analysis. Before joining MMS, Fergal worked in foreign exchange sales and trading for Goldman Sachs in London, and Bear Stearns in New York. He earned his MBA at Columbia Business School in New York, majoring in finance, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) degree from University College Dublin. Prior to business school, Fergal worked for Arthur Andersen in London, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).
